The pultrusion or pullwinding process is also suitable as a further manufacturing process for the carbon tubes. Here you can also achieve high carbon fiber proportions and thus achieve high compressive and flexural strength. As with prepregs, epoxy, polyester or vinyl ester resins can also be used as a matrix. CONSTRUCTION OF OUR CARBON ROUND TUBES, CARBON SQUARE TUBES AND CARBON SQUARE TUBES - MADE IN GERMANY
HT, UHT and IM carbon fibers are used for our square CFRP carbon fiber tubes as well as for our round carbon tubes. These are either impregnated directly with an epoxy resin matrix or previously processed into fabrics and fabrics and then impregnated. The resulting so-called prepregs are then wound using our specially developed molds and then hardened in the tempering oven. This is the core process of our production of carbon round tubes and square tubes. The specific flexural strength, compressive strength, tensile strength and torsional stability (per unit of mass) are therefore significantly higher than with corresponding metal products. The weight saved as a result and the low mass inertia are the main advantages of our CFRP square/round tubes. At the same time, the semi-finished products get their particularly appealing fabric structure surface made of carbon, which is often preferred for optical requirements.
